Josh Thomas Signed By the Seattle Seahawks

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks have signed Josh Thomas, an alumnus of the Buffalo Bulls who was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys before playing three years in Carolina.

In 2012, he started four games for the Panthers and was second on the team with seven passes defensed. In 2013, he started six games but was inactive in three after suffering a concussion in a game against the Buffalo Bills. This past preseason Thomas was one of the final roster cuts for Carolina on August 30th as the Panthers were getting to their 53-man roster.

When he played with Buffalo Thomas played with an aggressive attitude which could fit in well as a member of the "Legion of Boom". He is filling in for Jeremy Lane who was placed on the injured reserve/designated-to-return list by Seattle after he reinjured a previous groin injury during the team's 36-16 season-opening victory Thursday night over the Green Bay Packers.
