Dukes 30, Hawks 21 - We Wear The Ring - A Duquesne Dukes Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more. At the half, it looked like Duquesne was doing more than enough to win. After surrendering the first touchdown to the Hawks, the Dukes scored the next 27 points. The defense was doing a good job against the Monmouth running game and the offense seemed to have things clicking.

Wake Forest Football Holds On To Beat Army 24-21 - Blogger So Dear For the eighth time in eight games, the Wake Forest football team defeated the Army Black Knights, this time in a 24-21 victory at BB&T Field on Saturday, September 20th. An impressive defensive performance saw the Deacs shut out the Black Knights in the second half, while on the other side of things, freshman place kicker Mike Weaver tied a Wake Forest record when he made his sixth straight field goal out of his first six attempts as a Demon Deacon.

Assessing Where the 2014 Baylor Bears Are After 3 Games - Our Daily Bears I fully intended to do a post this week looking at the major concerns going into this season, how we've performed in those areas so far, and how things look going forward as part of a larger series looking back at the young season so far.

Cincinnati Bearcats Beat The Miami RedHawks 31-24 - Down The Drive The Cincinnati Bearcats prevailed against the Miami RedHawks tonight behind four touchdown passes from Gunner Kiel and 99 yards on the ground from Tion Green. It was a game where the Bearcats reworked offensive line, down starters Deyshawn Bond and Cory Keebler struggled until the end to find consistent traction on the ground. The Bearcats biggest problem was, without question, first down.

FalconBlog--Triumphs and Trials in the BGSU Falcon Nation: Long, Painful Afternoon in Madison UW set all-time records in rushing and total yards today. Just to have an idea on that, Wisconsin played their first football game in 1889. They have taken the field 1,188 times and that was the worst. In those 1,188 games, there had to be 100 worse mismatches than this....and yet here was the team with 756 yards and 644 yards on the ground.

Eastern Michigan At Michigan State in Pictures - Eagle Totem Eagle Totem There is really no sugarcoating of a 73-14 score. The outcome of the game was settled in the first quarter when Michigan State jumped to a 28-0 score. For what it’s worth, here are some pictures from the game. Since Eastern didn’t give me much to work with, most of the pictures are of Sparty.

Central Michigan Chippewas vs. Kansas Jayhawks Final: Kansas Wins 24-10 - Hustle Belt Kansas freshman running back Corey Avery caught a screen pass and snaked away from a determined Central Michigan defense en route to a 30-yard touchdown to salt away a 24-10 victory for the struggling Jayhawks. Avery's score ended an heroic effort by the Chippewa defense to keep the game close. Unfortunately for the Chippewas, Avery also ended any hope that Cooper Rush and the sputtering CMU offense would be given one last chance to find a scoring touch that was missing throughout the contest.

Akron Zips vs. Marshall Thundering Herd Final: Zips Lose Sloppily 48-17 - Hustle Belt It felt like the same thing, over and over, all afternoon. The Akron offense would quickly zip down the field, then get bogged down or turn over the ball, and the Zips defense was largely helpless against the two-headed rushing attack of Remi Watson and Devon Johnson, with some decent passing by Rakeem Cato mixed in.

Exactly What Was Needed: Penn State 48, UMass 7 - Black Shoe Diaries Yes, they are one of the last two undefeated teams in conference and could be the only team without a blemish after Nebraska's matchup with Miami tonight. They have done what they needed to do to eek out wins against a Blake Bortles- and Storm Johnson-less Central Florida squad and a Rutgers team with a whole stadium behind them. And a 'W' is all that really matters in the end.
