Buffalo Bills sign free agent Derek Brim.

Kevin Hoffman-US PRESSWIRE

Buffalo Bulls defensive back Derek Brim will be suiting up across town as a Buffalo Bill. Brim walked onto the team at Buffalo after playing his prep ball with Canisius High School. He was a star wide receiver at Canisius High School and started his collegiate career at the same position.

Brim was moved to defensive back because the Bulls had no need for a receiver. They had a unit which included  Marcus Rivers, Terrell Jackson and Alex Neutz ahead of him in the pecking order.

In 2012 the then Junior stepped in as an injury replacement, making the final five starts of the season.  On the year he had 47 tackles (33 solo) including seven unassisted tackles against Pittsburgh.

During his senior season Brim made 58 tackles and forced two fumbles, one of them setting up UB's first score against Ohio.

The Bills did not draft a Safety which means Brim may be competing against Aaron Williams, Jonathan Meeks, and Jajuan Harley.
