Munch Madness - Duff's vs Oliver's

The second matchup of the Horseradish bracket has Duff's vs. Olivers. The high end restaurants have not fared as well as I would have thought. How does this battle shake out (sorry bad wing reference)

Congratulations to Chiavetta's who after a very close battle just blew past Red Pepper. Vegas did have Chiavetta's as a 8 - 1 favorite to advance. Chiavetta's is the fitst eatery who punched their ticket to the second round in the Horseradish bracket.

Up next is Duff's, the other Buffalo institution for wing's, up against Oliver's. This is also a interesting first round matchup pitting two extremes in dinning. When I did google Oliver's popped up was the dress code. I did not see that when I googled Duff's.

Oliver's is located 2095 Delaware Ave. Oliver's Web Site Oliver's Menu

On Google Map's, it has Oliver as a classy Italian joint with huge wine list

From the website:

Re-opened in 1983, Oliver's Restaurant is one of the premier dining locations in Buffalo.

Come on in and try our exquisite food, sample from our extensive wine list, and experience our impeccable service. Remember we cater anywhere. Treat your family and friends

Duff's Duff's Web SIte

Has any parent from a non-vegetarian family ever visit UB and not stop at Duff's? I always liked this motto - WARNING! Medium IS HOT · Medium Hot IS VERY HOT · Hot IS VERY, VERY HOT

From their site:

In 1946, Louise Duffney opened a corner Gin Mill at Sheridan Drive and Millersport Highway in Amherst, New York, just north of Buffalo.

It was in 1969 that the local tavern known simply as Duff’s served up their first batch of chicken wings. Selling nearly 20 pounds of wings a week, Duff’s began to create a name for itself and a reputation for having the best wings in Buffalo. It was around 1985 that it was established that Duff’s wings were indeed famous, and the name became official. Duff’s Famous Wings in Amherst, New York still operates in the same original location.

Duff’s Famous Wings restaurants put the same tradition into making every batch of authentic Buffalo wings; the same tradition that was used when Louise introduced the wings in 1969.
