The first matchup of the Horseradish bracket pits Chiavetta's BBQ vs. Red Pepper.
Chiavetta's BBQ Chiavetta.com
Ever been to a fund raising event in Buffalo? Then bets are that you had Chiavetta's BBQ then. I am a big Chiavetta's chicken marinator at my home. The vinegar tange makes chicken taste awesome. Chiavetta's now has a take out location in Pendleton.
From the website.
Chiavetta's has been a Western New York tradition for over 50 years. Known for quality and taste, Chiavetta's Chicken Barbeques are a mainstay of many of our area's charity and fundraising events. Our Food Service and Catering Services are a popular choice for weddings, reunions, picnics and functions of every type.
Red Pepper - Did not find a website. Here is link to menu Menu
Red Pepper is located at 3910 Maple Road across from the Boulevard Mall. In my oppinion the best Chinesse food in WNY. Here is a recent Yelp! reveiw
My little sister loves Chinese food, to the point where we never eat anything besides it. After a long afternoon we were starving and luckily next to a Chinese and Thai restaurant that I have heard so much about.
We decided to give it a shot, and luckily just in time for the lunch specials. When you first sit down you are greeted very warmly. They give you a complimentary tea kettle and fried wontons with dipping sauces. The experience could have ended here and I would have been ecstatic...but it continued.
I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli (my go to) and it was by far on of the best dishes I've had. My sister ordered the Sesame chicken and the one thing I really enjoyed was it's the same chicken used for the non fried chicken dishes, lightly battered and friend (taste like actual chicken).
It is served as a family style and the prices were incredibly reasonable, around $6.50 each! This may be our new go to spot, excellent in all aspects
I was unable to find much from Red Pepper.
