Rank Team Pvs chg RPI Record MAC Last Comment
CMU 2 1 98 16-10 6-0 3-0 @ Miami Central continues to roll and Ball State's stumble against Buffalo makes the Chips a clear choice for number one this week
BSU 1 -1 102 17-10 4-1 1-1 @ UB BSU had UB on the ropes but let the Bulls back into a game after falling behind 8-0. But they followed that up by shutting down UB the next game.
Kent 4 1 109 14-10 4-2 2-1 @ EMU Kent is looking like a top five team but if they are losing games to teams that should not be beating them.
Buffalo 5 1 162 11-9 3-2 1-1 vs BSU Buffalo showed heart in their first game at BSU but they also showed some bad fielding as well. For UB consistency is a problem.
Miami 3 -2 95 10-15 2-4 0-3 v CMU Miami was swept at home against CMU. They host Akron next weekend in what should be a good barometer for both teams.
Akron 6 0 181 12-11 5-1 2-1 @ TOL Akron's rank did not change but for all intents and purposes I consider them to be "Tied" with UB and Miami.
WMU 7 0 176 12-11 3-2 2-0 v Ohio Sweeping Ohio is not going to move you up too much but it's got feel good for WMU to be over 500.
BGSU 9 1 243 6-15 2-4 2-1 v NIU The defending MAC champs are not looking very "champ-like" this season. Giving up wins at home against NIU does not help their cause.
Toledo 8 -1 167 9-14 2-4 1-2 v Akron Toledo was a borderline 500 team when they entered conference play but a 2-4 start is dropping them, and their RPI, like a stone.
NIU 11 1 233 4-19 2-4 1-2 v BGSU The Huskies seem to be good enough to steal a game here or there but with CMU and Ball State still on their schedule getting to the MAC postseason looks unlikely.
EMU 10 -1 207 10-13 1-5 1-2 v Kent The good news for EMU is that they got their first conference inw, the bad news is they got beaten at home in yet another MAC series.
Ohio 12 0 287 4-19 0-5 0-2 @ WMU Ohio is, well, Ohio… Eventually they will get a win in conference, maybe…
