Basketball Recruiting: Buffalo lands Chicago-area Bobby Frasco

Adam Hunger

Yesterday's win over Bowling Green wrapped up UB's first-ever MAC East Championship, but it's also paying dividends even more quickly than the Bulls' next game.

Chicago-area recruit Bobby Frasco was in town on an unofficial visit and got to witness the very best that UB has to offer. A quick list:

-A season-high crowd of 5,400+, bolstered by a packed and raucous student section

-UB's all-time leading scorer receiving protracted standing ovations during his Senior Day recognition and as he left the court for the last time

-That same all-time leading scorer dominating for long stretches on his way to a career-high 34 points

-A flash of the future, with underclassmen Shannon Evans and Justin Moss combining for a highlight reel play that reached national audiences

-A vision of the place for a sharpshooter in Buffalo's system under Hurley. UB's guards combined for 6 triples and 39 points.

Put this all together, and we reach dinner time on Sunday with Adam Zagoria reporting that Frasco has committed to join Hurley and the Bulls next year.

Frasco is a 6'4" swingman from Prospect High outside of Chicago who's averaged over 18 ppg in his senior season. Prospect's season is over after their league championship loss to the Fremd Vikings.

This highlight video for Frasco was put together just a month ago:
