Sometimes writing on the fly is a dangerous thing. It can both compromise the quality of the writing and the quality of the content. What I was attempting to do in an anger management piece was a sarcastic off the wall read. I don't ever do these about Student Athletes because I want to give them some cushion as people.
Perhaps I should also lump coaches in to that category. What's funny in my head is not always going to be funny on a page and the Coaches are no less people than the players.
There is room to critique in other, sometimes still funny, ways, but the "anger management" piece was unfair given all the good Bobby Hurley has done this season. I sincerely apologize to Coach Hurley and the team. They are all working hard and anyone can take potshots from afar.
In truth Hurley has far exceeded my expectations for a man in his first year as a college head coach.
I would also like to apologize to the readers. We have worked hard to make this a go to site for UB fans, and it's working based on traffic and participation. You deserved something more concise and relevant than what I put up.
