Buffalo Bulls Travel to Miami

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

If you're feeling like UB changed divisions to the MAC West it's because the Bulls played eight of the first 10 conference games against members of the MAC West. Divisions have little meaning anymore in the MAC but on Paper there is an "East" and a "West". Buffalo has done their time in the West and now it's time to take on the East.

After stumbling down the strech against Bowling Green UB secured a pair of wins last week over Ball State  and at Central Michigan (79-70). Buffalo enters Wednesday’s game with a 13-7 overall record and a 7-3 mark in the MAC. A win against the Redhawks would match UB's win total from last season.

Miami lost its last game at Ohio, 82-75. They seemed to have the game in hand through 20 minutes but Ohio blew them away in the second half.

The RedHawks are led by 14.4 points and 7.3 rebounds from Will Felder, Miami's only player who is in double digits. The Bulls are lead by Javon McCrea, who averages 18.0 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game, which ranks 14th nationally.

Because of UB's missteps at Ball State and late at Bowling Green this is a must have game for Buffalo. In the MAC tournament the top two seeds get a triple bye and the next get a double. UB is tied for third with both Ohio and Western Michigan.

Miami leads the all-time series, 22-10 but the two teams have split their season series each of the last three years.
