Buffalo came into tonight's game without the services of Rodell Wigginton (Fever) or Xavier Ford (Concussion) but well before a short bench was a factor the inside play of Saint Bonaventure put the Saint Bonaventure Bonnies up by 13 at the 7:42 mark of the first half.
Buffalo was able to stop the bleeding and even pulled to within eight points but by that point in the game Lamonte Beardon had fouled out and UB was down to one player on the bench. The poor shooting and careless ball handling of Buffalo became amplified by exhausiton and the Bonnies cruised to a 72 to 63 victory.
Saint Bonaventure was led by the seven foot Youssou Ndoye who score 15 points and brought down 11 rebounds. They also got a big game out of Dion Wright who added 18 points.
Buffalo was led by Shannon Evans with 19 points.
Despite the lopsided score UB did move the ball around well enough in the first half but time after time they faled to take advantage of a Saint Bonaventure player out of position. The team as a whole shot just 34% and turned the ball over 15 times against only four Saint Bonaventure Turnovers.
UB is now 4-2 and will be back in action Sunday when the Bulls host Robert Morris
