Justin Moss has been named the MAC East Player of the Week
CLEVELAND, OH – Following a career weekend, junior forward Justin Moss has been named the MAC East Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday morning. Looking for someone to take the role of reigning MAC Player of the Year, Javon McCrea, Moss has looked like he is up to the challenge through the first two games. Moss averaged 16.5 points and 9.5 rebounds as the Bulls split their two games this week. In the season opener against South Dakota State, Moss had 25 points and 13 rebounds, both career highs. He went a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line. On Sunday, Moss continued to play well despite the Bulls facing the number one team in the nation in the Kentucky Wildcats. Moss had eight points and six rebounds, including a huge dunk over a Kentucky defender, giving the Bulls a lead heading into the half. Through the first two games, Moss is a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line. The dunk against Willie Cauley-Stein found its way onto ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 plays, coming in at #4. Having played just 31 career games for the Bulls, Moss has now appeared on Top 10 plays three times. The player of the week honor is the first in his career for Moss. The Bulls will remain on the road Tuesday night as they face Texas-Arlington at 8:00 pm EST.
