Army Army 33 - Ball State 24 2/3/2014 FBS IND - vs Rice

Initial Army Thoughts | Over The Pylon
Welp, I guess the days of Ball State fans being able to chalk up a service academy as a for sure W are in our rearview mirror. With Saturday’s 24-33 loss in West Point, the Cardinals fall to 1-4 and I’d say we have reached the point where even the owners of the rosiest colored glasses are going to ask some questions about the goings on in the Fisher Football Complex. Whether your emotions range from confusion, questioning, anger, rage, frustration, or abject apathy it’s safe to say that this coming week is going to be bumpy, which is a shame considering it’s Homecoming Week in Muncie.

Baylor Baylor 28 - Texas 7 5-0 B12 2-0 vs TCU

Baylor vs. Texas -- The Morning After -- Highlights, Links, Notes, Tweets - Our Daily Bears
The real story of the game for Baylor, strangely enough, came on defense and special teams. The former was simply dominant again, holding Texas to 4.5 yards per play, creating three turnovers, and pitching what probably should have been a shutout had the officials not inexplicably flagged Xavien Howard for pass interference late in the game.

Miami Miami 42 - UMass 41 1-4 MAC 1-1 at Akron

Watch UMass Lose And Miami Win - Hustle Belt
This was the final play of the Miami vs. UMass football game. As you can see, Frohnapfel did not spike the ball to stop the clock. This is the pure definition of UMass football.

BGSU BG 36 - Buffalo 35 3-2 MAC 2-0 at Ohio

FalconBlog--Triumphs and Trials in the BGSU Falcon Nation: Sweet Victory #4
This is a flawed team, and we are going to have to love them for their flaws, because they are also thrilling and they keep fighting and, so far, have found a way to win MAC games they really needed. The first half today was really uneven and sloppy, but the defense came out and played a fantastic third quarter against Buffalo. Sadly, the offense picked that exact time to begin losing battles to the Buffalo defense, and the game remained static.

EMU Akron 31 - EMU 6 1-4 MAC 0-1 vs Buffalo

Akron 31, EMU 6 - Eagle Totem Eagle Totem
Well, EMU came out firing in the first quarter, and played really well for the first 10-1/2 minutes. On Akron’s first possession, the EMU defense forced a stop. The EMU offense zipped right down the field scoring a touchdown on a sweet pass from Rob Bolden to Tyler Allen. The snap or hold on the PAT was botched, but EMU was up 6-0 and was looking good. And the Eagles’ defense came out and got a quick stop again. And it was snowing! Things were looking good for EMU.

CMU CMU 28 - Ohio 10 3-3 MAC 1-1 at NIU

Central Michigan Chippewas vs. Ohio Bobcats Football Final Score: Titus Davis Has Big Day In 28-10 Win - Hustle Belt
Central Michigan's biggest stars shined the brightest in a one-sided victory over the Ohio Bobcats on Saturday afternoon at Kelly/Shorts stadium Saturday afternoon in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. CMU's homecoming crowd was treated to the Titus Davis and Thomas Rawls show. Each player put up huge numbers as he Chippewas dominated the Bobcats.

Ohio CMU 28 - Ohio 10 3-3 MAC 1-1 vs BGSU

BobcatAttack.com - For Fans of Ohio University Sports
Playing without starting quarterback Derrius Vick and running back A.J. Ouellette, the Bobcats (3-3, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) got nothing going on offense and were limited to 187 yards and eight first downs. Meanwhile, the senior pair for the Chippewas did plenty. Rawls ran for 229 yards and two touchdowns on 40 carries, and Davis caught 10 passes, including two for scores, for 181 yards.

Akron Akron 31 - EMU 6 3-2 MAC 1-0 vs Miami

Akron Zips vs Eastern Michigan Eagles Football Final Score: Zippy Stomps The Eagles 31-6 - Hustle Belt
For the first 30 minutes of today's game, that argument did hold up. EMU came out strong, scoring a touchdown on an 18-yard pass from Rob Bolden to Tyler Allen, while the Eagles' defense held Akron to short possessions with minimal gains. Even after Bolden threw an interception giving the Zips the ball starting in the red zone, the EMU defense managed to come up with a stop, limiting Akron to a field goal, and sending the teams to halftime with a close 10-6 margin. As an EMU fan, I felt pretty good about that, especially considering that Akron was favored by 26.

Kent NIU 17 - Kent 14 0-5 MAC 0-2 vs UMass

Kent State Golden Flashes vs. Northern Illinois Huskies - Recap - October 04, 2014 - ESPN
Northern Illinois ran its home win streak to 28 games while picking up its 24th straight Mid-American Conference win, stopping winless Kent State, 17-14, Saturday night.

UMass CMU 28 - Ohio 10 0-6 MAC 0-2 at Kent

Miami RedHawks vs. Massachusetts Minutemen Football Final Score: UMass Lost The UMass Way 42-41 - Hustle Belt
The last time the Miami RedHawks (then known as the Redsk- oh, wait, it wasn't that long ago, my bad) won a football game, it was against a rivaled Ohio Bobcats team, who was ranked #23 in the nation at that point. That was 21 games ago. That was the longest losing streak in the FBS.
