Baylor Baylor 61 - TCU 58 6-0 B12 3-0 at WVU

Miracle on the Brazos 2.0-- Baylor 61, TCU 58 - Our Daily Bears
I had an entire post written up slamming our secondary, pass rush, and special teams that I had to trash due to the most amazing comeback in Baylor history. With 11:38 left in the fourth quarter, Bryce Petty threw an interception that TCU LB Marcus Mallet returned for a touchdown to give the Horned Frogs a 58-37 lead. The rest of the way, Petty turned on the Heisman jets, throwing for 3 TDs and over 150 yards to lead the Bears to an improbable, unbelievable victory over #9 TCU.

BGSU BG 31 - Ohio 13 5-2 MAC 3-0 vs WMU

FalconBlog--Triumphs and Trials in the BGSU Falcon Nation: Sweet Victory #5: Recap
So for all the nail biters we have experienced, it was nice to get a solid win. Not that there are not things that can be improved and not that this was a win over one of the top teams in the country, but it was on the road against a team that is normally competitive and is well-coached, and to win a game with some level of comfort is a good thing and a step forward for our team.

EMU EMU 37 - Buffalo 27 2-4 MAC 1-1 at UMass

EMU 37, Buffalo 27: Ontario Sandwich Trophy regained! - Eagle Totem Eagle Totem
Things started off about as we expected they would, with EMU falling behind early. Joe Licata connected with Marcus McGill for a 24-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter to give the Bulls a 7-0 lead, and they followed it up with a short field goal early in the second to stretch the lead to 10-0. It looked like we might be heading down an all-too-familiar path.

But late in the second quarter, Creighton benched Rob Bolden in favor of Reggie Bell, and for the first time this fall, it looked like the Eagles had a legitimate quarterback. Bell provided an immediate spark, leading EMU almost to the end zone before having to settle for a short field goal by Dylan Mulder in the final minute before halftime.

Ohio Bobcats vs. Bowling Green Falcons Recap: BGSU Grinds Out 33-13 Win - Hustle Belt
To look at the statistics would suggest a different game. Ohio was on offense for 2/3 of the game. They outran the Falcons, 127 to 95 yards and out passed them 386 to 260. Ohio had 29 first downs to BGSU's 19. The Bobcats even set a school record for plays run in a game (110).

On the very first play after the Woodley touchdown, Reardon was picked off by UMass corner Jackson Porter, who returned it 34 yards for another score. Flashes continue their search for their first win of 2014 while the Minutemen get their first victory of the year.

UMass UMass 40 - Kent 17 1-6 MAC 1-2 vs EMU

UMass Football Blog: Sunday--October 12th, 2014
The Minutemen broke through yesterday. First, they cut down mistakes. No fourth quarter turnovers. Then some players made football plays. Kassan Messiah blocked a field goal to stifle any Golden Flash comeback momentum. He led the the Minutemen with 10 TT 1 TFL and 1 QB Hurry. Then Lorenzo Woodley carried the ball seven straight times and went 80 yards for the clinching TD. That was a Marcel Shipp type of performance. Jackson Porter got some revenge as he added a pick-six to add to UMass' fourth quarter dominance.
