NCAA Recruiting Juwan Jackson to Buffalo

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

Over the weekend Buffalo received a verbal commitment from Strong Safety Juwan Jackson from As a sophomore, Jackson transferred to Bosco from Barringer High School and has been a solid contributor to one of the best football programs in the state of New Jersey.

At six foot four inches tall and 200 pounds Jackson has a size and quickness which is a little bit unique for a defensive back. Rivals has Jackson at 6-5 and 210 pounds. Which ever site is correct he has tight end size and speed in the defensive backfield.

Clearly there is a need in the defensive backfield and Jackson could fill that spot.

Playing for coach Greg Toal Jackson helped lead Don Bosco to a 7-4 record this past season. The Ironmen rallied from a 1-3 start. Bosco kicked off a five-game tear with a win over Friendship Academy (DC), and ended up winning six of its final seven contests. The highlight of the season may have been the schools 28-21 win over eventual Non-Public, Group 3 champion St. Joseph. In the Non-Public, Group 4 postseason, they downed Seton Hall Prep in the first round, before losing to Paramus Catholic in the semifinals.
