EMU Eagles at Buffalo Bulls

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Two MAC teams looking to start conference play 2-0 meet at Alumni Arena this Saturday. The Bulls host Eastern Michigan three days after taking their conference openers on Wednesday night.

In UB's win over NIU the Bulls placed four individuals into double figures led by 15 points from Will Regan.  Senior Javon McCrea finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists and eight blocks. At the same time EMU knocked off Bowling Green State University 56-51.

The Eagles are 9-5 and are giving their opponents fits with a well developed 2-3 zone. The Zone has been employed with great success by UB's opponents as Buffalo has struggled with perimeter shooting.

Coming into the game Javon McCrea finds himself just 250 points shy of Rasaun Young's all time school record. He has became one of only four active players nationally with 1,600 points and 800 rebounds. Among those four he is the only player to also have 200 blocks.

UB leads the all-time series, 10-9 and UB hsa won the last four meetings at Alumni Arena.
