Duval is originally a Nebraska man. He earned his Exercise Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He joined the University of Nebraska's 1994 a the Performance Clinic Coordinator and Assistant Football Strength Coach for Nebraska.

During his tenure at UB many of the athletes were very complimentary of the Buffalo coach. Jonathan Snyder profiled Kristian Sokoli for Bull Run and the UB football player was extremely complimentary.

"I'd say it's a day-to-day process. That's how you have to look at it. I have to give a lot of credit to our strength coach, Zach Duval, he does a great job, our strength coach is outstanding.

The department has not released anything regarding this but if it's true we can expect a statement soon.
