Opponent Review and Rankings - Week 4

Most of the rankers did not watch the UB game, or even look at the box score. UB's rank increases while most of the MAC falls in the polls.

This Week's Games

Noon Games:

Vanderbilt travels to UMass because UMass likes pain.
Toledo travels to CMU for a MAC showdown.
WMU travels to Iowa hoping to follow in NIU's wake.

1pm:

Ball State travels to Eastern Michigan looking to start MAC play with a win.

2pm:

Ohio opens up the soft underbelly of their schedule, Buffalo, Miami, EMU, CMU Akron, but first, Austin Peay. They could head into Bowling Green in November 8-1 (6-0) looking to clinch the MAC...but first things first...

3:30pm:

BGSU looks to recover from the disaster in Bloomington, FCS Murray State should help.
Kent follows Death Valley, with Happy Valley, despite the cheerier sounding name, I don't expect too many smiles from the Flashes.

4pm:

The Victory Bell is at stake as Cincinnati travels to Miami. FUN FACT 1: While Miami leads the series 59-51-7, Cincy has won the last 7. FUN FACT 2: Shane Montgomery is the last Miami coach to beat Cincy, besting Mark Dantonio. Since then, Brian Kelly and Butch Jones went undefeated against Michael Haywood and Don Treadwell, this will be Tommy Tuberville's first Victory Bell game. FUN FACT 3: During the Kelly/Quinn era, Cincy was 3-0 vs Miami, winning by an average score of 43-14. During that same period, Turner Gill was 2-1 vs Miami winning 36-22 on average. Since then, Quinn is 1-2 vs Miami losing 29-16 on average while Cincy has continued to roll, 3-0 vs Miami, winning 41-6 on average.

6pm:

UL-L beat Nicholls 70-7. Akron hung tough with Michigan. Which team is for real? Hot Suntle Belt Action at 411cision Stadium.

7pm:

NIU escaped from Iowa, then escaped from Idaho. They seem to be on a tour of places you'd want to escape from, up next, Dekalb, Illinois and West Lafayette, Indiana...someone get them out of these awful places.
