247 sports is reporting that Skylar Hartley, an offensive guard from Hillard Ohio, has given a verbal commitment to the Buffalo Bulls. The nearly 300 pound Hartley was called "One of the top offensive line prospects to watch out for in Ohio" by Scout last spring.
Hillard is listed by 247 as a Guard and scouting Ohio as a center. His measureables include a 365 bench, 445 squad, and respectable 5.26 40 yard dash. Given his size, and the multiple positions he has played it's hard to see a spot where the 6'2" Hilliard Bradley lineman can not be used in the UB line should the need arise.
This looks to be a solid pickup for Buffalo. Hartley made good impressions during camps in Ohio drawing some interest from power conference schools.
Scouting Ohio has some of his highlights up.
In addition to football Hartley is something of a track star. What does any self respecting offensive lineman do on the track? He throws shot. HE throws in the very high 40's, even cracking 50 at the Olentangy Liberty Vs Hilliard Bradley Dual.
