Naming Rights: Originally University Stadium, the name was changed in 1946 to the Glass Bowl due to a renovation that involved glass elements. That same year the Glass Bowl was held for the first time, it lasted 4 years with Toledo playing in it each year, finishing 3-1 in Glass Bowls.

History:

UB is 0-2 at the Glass Bowl, with a 29-56 loss in 2003 and a 15-38 loss in 2005.




2012 Highlights: A 23 yard Cortney Lester INT return and a 42 yard reception by Devin Campbell gave UB a 14-7 lead going into the half on a miserable day at UB Stadium. In the third quarter, Lockport native David Fluellen ran 12 times for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns as Toledo scored 18 to open up a 25-14 lead. With 16:17 remaining in the game, Alex Zordich was injured, starting the Licata era. Licata maanged one score, but could not find a second to get Buffalo the win, Toledo held on to win 25-20.


2013 Outlook: Toledo faces Buffalo before a big showdown against Northern Illinois. Buffalo gets Toledo after their final home game against Ohio. The winner of the UB-UT matchup stays alive in the race to win their division.
