247 sports is reporting that Zach Nicholas, a safety and wide receiver, has given a verbal commitment to Buffalo. Nicholas plays for Mount Hebron in Ellicott City, Maryland.
Primarily viewed by scouring services as a safety Nicholas registered 35 solo tackles and 40 assisted tackles during 10 games last season. He also forced two fumbles, broke up two passes, sacked the quarterback three times, and picked off opposing quarterbacks two others.
He was also a threat on the offensive side of the ball as a running back. Nichols carried the ball 47 times for just under nine yards per carry and seven touchdowns. He also aught 21 passes for 344 yards, adding four more scores.
Nicoholas is also a member of his schools track team qualifying for the state championships in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.
According to NCSA Sports Nicholas is an honors student in English, World history, Biology, French, and Computer Science. He has told recruiting agencies that he is interested in the Environment Sciences and Anthropology.
