UB is 1-0 all time at Ford Field, one of four teams undefeated at Ford in the MAC Championship game joining: CMU 3-0, Toledo 1-0, and Akron 1-0. NIU (2-2 )and Miami (1-2) are the only other teams to win the MAC at Ford Field. Ball State (0-1), Kent State (0-1) and Ohio (0-3) have all tried and failed to win the MAC at Ford while EMU, WMU, BGSU, Temple and UMass have never played for the MAC at Ford Field.

2011 Highlights: Ohio blew a 20-0 halftime lead falling 23-20 to NIU for the Huskies first MAC Championship game win.

2012 Highlights: Up 27-13 to start the fourth, NIU gave up the big lead as Kent took the game to overtime tied at 34. NIU prevailed in double overtime winning 44-37 and earning a BCS bowl bid.

2013 Outlook: NIU is favored to three-peat as West Champs, although they will face stiff competition from Toledo and Ball State. In the East, Ohio is favored, but it will be anyones game, Miami, Buffalo, Kent and Bowling Green could find themselves in Detroit.
