When the football season kicks off in Columbus Buffalo will be getting more exposure than they have since the 2008 International Bowl. It was announced today that the season opener between Buffalo and Ohio State, scheduled for August 31 at noon, Will air on ESPN2, nationwide.
It will be the first ever meeting between Buffalo and Ohio State and it comes at a time which sees Ohio State as a Prominent power under Urban Meyer while UB hopes to find it's footing under Jeff Quinn. The two Coaches faced off in the 2009 Sugar Bowl, a game Meyers Florida Gators dominated.
The Buckeyes are coming off a 12-0 season in 2012. The Bulls won three of their final four games in 2012 return the core of their offense and defense.
UB’s game at Ohio State is the first of five games set to air on one of ESPN’s platforms. Beginning in November, the Bulls’ final four games of the regular season will air on ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN3.
