The Big Apple is coming to Buffalo and the Bulls should taking a trip down state next season. It's not a power match up but nothing Buffalo has done on the court this season warrants a high profile opponent.
The University at Buffalo men's basketball team will host Manhattan (MAAC) in a Ramada Worldwide BracketBusters matchup on February.
Manhattan is 7-15 overall and has a 5-7 record in the MAAC to rank seventh in the conference. The teams have had two common opponents this season in Niagara and Canisius. The Jaspers lost to Canisius and Niaraga each by scores of 64-60. Buffalo fell to Canisius but pounded Niagara.
This will only be the third meeting between the schools. Buffalo holds a 2-0 edge in the all-time series, defeating the Jaspers, 68-66, in 1998 and 75-71 in 1999.
It's a best case scenario for a team like Buffalo that has fallen flat this season. The Jaspers might travel well across the state to UB but the bigger benefit is Buffalo having a return trip to the second largest alumni base in the nation which should come next year.
