Another All-America Team has been announced, and it's another edition without our favorite LB Khalil Mack, as the American Football Coaches Association announced their team this afternoon and honored C.J. Mosley, Anthony Barr, and Trent Murphy with the three first team linebacker slots. By now we all know that these three guys come from Alabama, UCLA, and Stanford, respectively.
The full AFCA All-America team doesn't have too many surprises, as the coaches are one of the last organizations to release their team:
WR Mike Evans Texas A&M
WR Sammy Watkins Clemson
TE Jace Amaro Texas Tech
OL Jake Matthews Texas A&M
OL Cyril Richardson Baylor
C Gabe Ikard Oklahoma
OL Cyrus Kouandjio Alabama
OL *David Yankey Stanford
QB AJ McCarron Alabama
RB Andre Williams Boston College
RB Ka'Deem Carey Arizona
DL Michael Sam Missouri
DL Aaron Donald Pittsburgh
DL Jackson Jeffcoat Texas
DL *Jadeveon Clowney South Carolina
LB Trent Murphy Stanford
LB Anthony Barr UCLA
LB *C.J. Mosley Alabama
DB Darqueze Dennard Michigan
DB Lamarcus Joyner Florida St.
DB Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Alabama
DB Ahmad Dixon Baylor
P Tom Hornsey Memphis
PK Anthony Fera Texas
AP Ty Montgomery Stanford
The Football Writer's Association of America (FWAA) has also released their team, but I only know that from seeing some blogs and media outlets proclaim their guys as Unanimous All Americans, and not because I can actually find the press release. When I do, I will update this post.
Several unofficial outlets have released their teams and actually have Khalil Mack on the first tier. Later this week I'll have a roundup post that summarizes all the All-America teams, official and unofficial.
