Buzz before he arrived: Jeff Quinn ran every fullback out of town, before realizing we might need a Fullback. Boomer Brock signaled the return of Buffalo smashmouth football.
His Journey: From Iroquois High in Elma, Brock attended Erie Community College for a season before an injury ended his ECC career. Brock walked on to UB, redshirted in 2011, and earned the starting FB job in 2012, only to succumb to a season ending injury against Kent State. Brock recovered only to lose the 2013 season to injury during one of the final practices of summer.
Debut/Breakout Performance: Behind Brock, Branden Oliver ran 25 times for 238 yards and 2 TDs against Morgan State 2012.
Future: Have we seen the last of Boomer or will he return via Medical Redshirt?
