The USA today poll was just released and the UB Bulls come in 39th, with just a single vote.

"Others receiving votes: Georgia 44; Nebraska 43; Ball State 22; Duke 22; Virginia Tech 15; Louisiana-Lafayette 7; Mississippi 6; Cincinnati 6; Southern California 6; Texas Tech 5; Washington 5; Arizona 4; Notre Dame 2; Buffalo 1".

As the saying goes "It's a start"

In other UB related news Ohio State checked in at #3 and Baylor is hot on their heels at #4. NIU fell a spot to #21 and Fresno jumped up to 14. The polls look like they might keep the Huskies out of a second BCS game.

The only other MAC team getting votes is Ball State who checks in at 28th with 22 votes.

This is not the first time UB has received votes in the Coaches poll. The Bulls received a few votes after defeating #12 Ball State in the 2008 MAC Championship Game.

If the Bulls continue their winning ways it's likely the MAC Championship game will feature two ranked teams for the second year in a row. Something no other on AQ conference has any hopes of doing this season.
