Merchant is money!
Passing the football in Southern Ontario is a lot like throwing in Western New York. So when a Canadian Quarterback throws for 350 yards in the middle of the month you know weather is not going to be an issue. Merchant is still undefeated and one of the best passing prospects in Canada.

quarterback Chris Merchant was exceptional today and led the offense to 5 scoring drives. Despite the awful conditions, Merchant threw for 3 touchdowns and over 350 yards. He also added a rushing touchdown.
The "Change of pace" Quarterback suffered his first loss on the season but it was not for lack of trying. Abey dropped almost 200 yards on #1 GIlman but in the end his Spangling team came up just short.

Cavaliers quarterback Zach Abey, a senior committed to Buffalo, ran for 111 of his 198 yards in the first half. He finished with 29 carries and was 5-for-14 passing for 46 yards and a touchdown. Receiver Ronnie Beswick caught four passes for 44 yards.
Finally one of the newest verbals, who brings in a little more Cass, is leading one of the best defenses in Michigan prep ball.

Undefeated Detroit Cass Tech has been letting up just four points per game. With guys like Damon Webb (Ohio State), Deon Drake Jr. (MSU), Gary Hosey (Eastern Mich) and William White (Buffalo) lining up on defense, it really comes as no surprise that Cass Tech's defense has been so dominant.
