Adam Redden named MAC East Defensinve Player of the Week

For the second time this season Adam Redden has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week.

Against UMass Redden led UB's defense 12 tackles. He also recorded two tackles for loss and a half sack. He also recovered a fumble and recorded a pass breakup. Late in the third quarter he made the initial hit that resulted in a safety that extended UB's lead to 18-3.

It is the second time this season Redden has been named MAC Defensive Player of the Week and the fourth straight week a UB player has been awareded Player of the Week honors by the Mid American Conference.

Redden is having a breakout season for the Bulls. The Amherst native and St. Francis grad leads the Bulls with 49 tackles and has 8.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries this season.
