The Buffalo news is reporting that the Buffalo Bulls have set up a 1:1 series with the Florida Atlantic Owls of Conference USA. The Bulls will travel to Boca Raton in 2015 and the Owls will make the trip up to Amherst in 2017.

The Owls are in their first year of Conference USA play after spending seven years in the Sun Belt, they play in FAU Stadium which will be the location of the newly announced Boca Raton Bowl.

Florida Atlantic University picked up foortball in 2001, coached by Miami and Louisville coach Howard Schnellenberger.  After just four seasons of existence, the Owls jumped from Division I-AA (now FCS) competition to Division I-A (now FBS), joining the Sun Belt Conference.

In 2007 they competed in their first bowl game, the New Orleans Bowl, where they defeated the Memphis Tigers 44–27. In 2008, the Owls competed in their second straight bowl game, the Motor City Bowl, where they defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas by a score of 24–21.

It will be the first series between the two schools and Buffalo's first trip to Florida since Turner Gills 2009 Buffalo Bulls team played at UCF.

The 2015 non conference schedule contains Florida Atlantic, Penn State, and Boston College. The 2017 games will include Army, and the Owls.
