Team Tier Change Game Comment
NIU 1 0 W 27-20 vs Akron While is was not a statement blowout it was a win. Jordan Lynch racked up 6 yards per carry which is helpful because if the Huskies want to hold off Ball State they will need both parts of Jordan Lynch's game.
Ball State 1 0 W 27-24 vs Kent Sometimes a close win happens because good teams find a way to pull out a victory. Holding Kent to 3 on a 1st and goal at the 1, then scoring a late go ahead TD is what a good team would do.
Toledo 2 1 Bye Toledo climbs because of Ohio's disastrous homecoming.
BGSU 2 1 L 21 - 20 at MSU Not a terrible loss for Bowling Green but oh what a big win it might have been. Still Ohio's loss Puts the Falcons in the drivers seat for the MAC East
Buffalo 2 1 W 33-0 at WMU The Bulls get their first win on the road versus the MAC West and have recovered from a close call against Stoney Brook by outscoring their next three opponents 116-26.
Ohio 2 -3 L 26-23 vs CMU In a game with four turnovers it's sometimes hard to point at one as the worst of the lot. But when you are up four with under five minutes you can't fumble a punt return.
Kent 2 0 Loss 27-24 at BSU Kent is coming together nicely after a slow start but the MAC front office did the Flashes no favors with their schedule this season. The good news? Kent is through the worst of their schedule
CMU 3 0 W 26-23 at Ohio Last week CMU took pride in taking winning the conference pillow fight of the season, this week they take pride in ruining Ohio's homecoming game. They needed four turnovers to do it but the Chips get the upset of the week.
Akron 3 0 L 27-20 at NIU If you're an Akron fan you have to be tired of these near wins. The Zips seem put together enough to scare everyone but not disciplined enough to beat anyone
UMass 4 3 W 17-10 vs Miami It was not a pretty when but seldom are contests between 0-5 teams. In the end Umass get's their second every MAC win. Next week they will go for their second of the year against Buffalo.
EMU 4 1 L 50-25 at Army It started as as a great game but after one Quarter Terry Baggett ran away with the game. EMU allowed the Army tailback to rack up 304 yards.
WMU 4 -2 L 33-0 vs Buffalo Buffalo's slow offensive start gave Western Michigan an opportunity to get in the game but PJ Flecks team could not row the boat into the end zone.
Miami 4 -2 L 17-10 at Umass On the bright side Treadwell does not have "lost to UMass" on his resume. After a coach is fired you wonder how the team rallies around the interim coach, for Miami is was less than 300 yards on the Minutemen
