The 86-68 score makes Buffalo's Mid-American Conference opener sound closer than the game actually was. Early in the first half Buffalo climbed to within one point of Ohio when the wheels finally came off. Ohio spent the rest of first half of completing a 53 point frame which proved an insurmountable lead.

Ohio also dominated through most of the second half to start off conference play with a win, at one point Ohio would build its lead to 75-41. With the Bobcats on cruise control Buffalo finished strong ending the game with a 27-11 advantage.

UB will now try to make hay of their longest home stand of the season coming up, playing three straight home games in the friendly confines of Alumni Arena. The conference's opening week will conclude Saturday as the Bulls host Miami (OH). Tip off is scheduled for 7 pm.

Three Point Shot: Trying to stay away from what happened on the court because it was that bad)

Point Two: I should have WECKED it..

Ohio's broadcast team is probably the most unbearable in all of sports. They try to cover up their inability to say "CENTER COURT" by saying "At the Attack Cat" which sounds clver the first dozen times they say it, then the game is five minutes old and you want it to end.

They also spend *way* too much time stoking the local boys. Yes they are great and they are your team but if you're paid real money to cover sports don't act like your a full fledged member of team Edward.

Point Three: It's going to that kind of season

Javon McCrea does not have the support he needs to take over games. If McCrea does have an inner beast it's going to remain caged until some else effectively sets him up.

If Buffalo could not get over the hump with last years roster it's hard to imagine they manage anything special this year, but hey the year is young.
