Too bad I don't gamble

I am too big a fan of underdog teams to gamble. My Grandfather used to say that not even the best gambler will break even in their lifetime. He was a man who loved his horses and enjoyed games of chance, he just knew you never gamble with anything you actually want.

So, given all the mouths I have to feed, I don't gamble. I don't buy lottery tickets, don't play slots, and especially don't gamble on sports. Like my Grandfather said, eventually the house always wins.

But if I were a betting man this might be appealing.

Points are not a factor in a straight money bet. The payout for a bet on Michigan to win is obviously not as impressive. You'll need to lay $195,000 on the Wolverines just to pocket $100.

Alex Neutz (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) of the football team had eight catches for a career-high 154 yards and tied a school-record with four touchdown receptions in UB's 56-34 victory over Morgan State. Neutz had touchdown catches of 16, 22, 34 and 28 yards with the first two coming within 40 seconds in the final minute and a half of the second quarter. In two games, the junior has 13 receptions and five touchdowns while averaging 15.8 yards per catch.
