Position: Running Back
From: Huber Heights, Ohio
Saw action in seven games, running four times against Stony Brook
Anthone Taylor was a big part of Wayne's huge upset of undefeated Middleton in the first round of Ohio's D-I, Region 4 first-round playoff game. Taylor racked up 153 yards rushing against the Middies, the bulk of it in second half. His 19-yard touchdown late in the third put the Warriors up 14-0.
That, and a all around solid prep career put Taylor on Jeff Quinn's radar.
Last season Taylor steeped in on special teams and did some work as a tailback against Stony Brook.
Two things work against Taylor this season. The first is the Emergence of Brandon Murie and the second presence of James Potts. Getting carries will be hard for the sophomore. Last year he worked his way up to #2 on the depth chart but this season it seems he is far more likely to be a fixture on special teams.
