UB took on the best program in Canada and came painfully close to beating them. The Ravens have won eight of the last ten national championships including the past two seasons.
The two teams last met in UB's last trip north, with Carleton taking down the Bulls 84-74 just a few days after losing to defending national champion Kansas by one point. In 2011-12, the Ravens went a perfect 28-0 and won the Wilson Cup and CIS title while outscoring opponents by an average of over 38 points per game.
After establishing an early nin point lead the Bulls limped into the half up by one (48-47) but neither team managed to establish themselves in the second. With 39 seconds left the Bulls and Ravens were all knotted up at 75.
The Ravens were led by Tyson Hinz with 26 points.
It's not a bad loss for Buffalo. Carleton is a great program and the whole point of these games are to get used to being a team. UB can now pick themselves up for their last game up north.
