Supposedly Every D1 School has been trying to pick up some of Penn States players, here is the score sheet.

Penn State Transfer Tracker: Who's Leaving For Where? - From Our Editors - SBNation.com
The anticipated Penn State mass transfer exodus hasn't quite happened as some had feared, but more than a half-dozen players already appear to be striking out for elsewhere, including star running back Silas Redd to USC, quite a few other juniors, and a top incoming freshman defensive tackle.

So you're a Penn State star and you want to go to a school which is not addled by sanction... why not look at /chuckle USC!

Reactions to Silas Redd's Transfer to USC - Conquest Chronicles
The day's biggest college football story certainly didn't go under the radar as the Olympics were happening. Here's a smattering of people's thoughts on Twitter after the jump.

Silas Redd is so far the Biggest loss, he was poached by Lane Kiffin who, irony of ironies, may have committed a minor infraction while trying to lure Redd

USC likely committed NCAA violation in recruitment of Silas Redd - The Hour Publishing Company: Sports
The University of Southern California football team may have committed an NCAA violation when Trojans reserve quarterback Max Wittek spoke on the phone with Penn State junior running back Silas Redd last week and then talked to the press about it, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.

I took the time to read Redd's statement:

Updated: Silas Redd Transferring to USC - Black Shoe Diaries
We have weighed the pros and cons of staying at Penn State and leaving Penn State, attending USC and not attending USC, and I can honestly say that, ultimately, this decision is about so much more than football.

Yes... I'm sure you transferred to a national title contender who desperately need a half back because you liked their astrophysics prorgram. Nothing against the move but at least be honest about it.

More Open Bowls?

UCF got hit with a one year bowl ban.

Central Florida Receives 1-Year Postseason Ban In Men's Basketball And Football - SBNation.com
The NCAA has handed Central Florida a one-year postseason ban in football and men’s basketball. ESPN.com’s Andy Katz first reported the news on Twitter.

They may appeal, and could get their 2012 bowl back but if they dont the field of Bowl teams shrinks even more. The MAC, according to CBS, seems poised to put six teams into bowls this season

College Football Bowls - CBSSports.com
The champions of selected conferences are contractually committed to certain bowls, unless they are No. 1 or No. 2. (ACC: Orange; Big Ten: Rose; Big 12: Fiesta; Pac-12: Rose; SEC: Sugar). If a Bowl loses a host team to the title game, then the bowl gets first choice at a replacement team. The rest of the selection order for 2013 is as follows: Fiesta, Sugar, Orange.

No, UB is not on their list.

Hustle Belt is doing a position by position ranking of the MAC, up most recently was kickers

2012 MAC Football Position Rankings: The Kickers - Hustle Belt
Someone like Buffalo's Patrick Clarke was amazing last season - but only appeared in the Bulls' last three games. I personally would take quality potential over o.k. experience, just like Clarke or Akron's AJ Fox, who took over partway through last season and was spot-on - with what opportunities the Zips' offense gave him. Toledo's Jeremiah Detmer also would land here, performing very well once he took over last season's starting role.

A local Buffalo Sports Blog previews the Bulls Offense

A Blog About Sports: UB Bulls 2012 Football Preview: Offense
Look for the offense to go as far as the running game will take them. They surely will be tested early when they go play what is basicilly a preseason game for both teams against Georgia. UB will be able to see who is ready to play, and who has the ability to make a play. Whom ever Quinn pick at quarterback probably will not have a banner year, but whoever it is, if the can limit the turnovers, and keep moving the ball, on simple passing plays, and converting on the long ball, it will help the team out greatly.

Bernitha Johnson And Kourtney Brown Finalize Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff - Buffalo Athletics
First-year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack has finalized her coaching staff with the addition of Bernitha Johnson and former MAC Player of the Year Kourtney Brown. Johnson and Brown join Al Walker who was hired earlier this month.

I'm sorry that Kourtney Brown's pro career did not come together but it's a very good sign for the program to have her back at the school.
