John Kling was Jeff Quinn's first commitment during the spring of 2011. The Lineman transferred into Depew from Saint Mary's and expectations were high. Unfortunately he suffered a season ending injury during the second game of his senior year.
Even with that injury Kling was tabbed 4th team all western New York.
Last season the six foot seven "Kling Kong" continued to get his football footing back, and put on some weight. He entered this spring just shy of 320 pounds.
Kling is one of several players who all seem to be shaping up as the next big offensive line. He will serve as a backup to Andre Davis on the left side of the line this season.
