Brandon Tammaro was quietly one of Buffalos better rated recruits of 2010. Then playing defensive end Tammaro was ranked the #23 player in Michigan by ESPN, and the #30 Blue Chip in Michigan by the Detroit News. The First-team All-State, All-Detroit Metro and All-County selection after recorded 58 tackles and 5.5 sacks as a senior. He also forced fumbles and broke up three passes.
His athleticism led the UB staff to move Tammaro over to linebacker where he was comfortably adjusting before his spring was ended by a torn ACL. At the time of the injury Tammero was trying to make a run at the position opened up by the graduation of Fred Branch.
