While playing for Avon Lake Ron Willoughby set school records for most receptions in a game and most touchdowns in a playoff game. During his senior year he had 54 receptions for nearly 900 yards and earned first-team All-County and All-District honors. More impressively he was tabbed second-team All-Ohio abd named the Lorain Morning Journal Player of the Year.
He is built a lot like Alex Neutz. Willoughby is six foot four inches and weighing just over 200 pounds Willoughby is tied with Neutz as the tallest receiver on the roster. He also possess good speed and a nice set of hands.
Right now he and Rudy Johnson are sitting behind Neutz on the depth chart. They will each get some work this season but so long as Neutz is healthy it will be mostly in a clean up capacity.
