Bulls earn first win of the season

Javon McCrea put up 14 points and brought down 8 rebounds and Cameron Downing added a dozen points as the Buffalo Bulls notched their first win of the 2012 season against Evansville. The 56-50 game opened up the "also ran" round of the Coaches vs Cancer classic tournament.

Half way through the first half Lewis Jones hit a three point shot to give Evansville a 17-8 lead. Buffalo spent the rest of the First half running down Evansville going into intermission down 27-25.

With 13 minutes left in the second Corey Raley-Ross sparked a 12 point run that put UB up 43-36, from that point on the Bulls would not trail in the game.

Despite the win there are significant sore spots for Buffalo. UB finished 1-9 from beyond the arc. UB as a whole has no real outside shooting.

Next up for Buffalo is Western Illinois.
