Canisius High School offensive guard Corey Madlock became the first member of the University at Buffalo’s 2012 recruiting class today when he gave the Bulls a verbal commitment, a source told The Buffalo News. -- Rodney McKissic, Buffalo News
Coach Quinn is a sucker for offensive linemen. This past class was line heavy and he is starting out 2012 the same way. Madlock played both guard and tackle on offense and as a tackle on Canisius's defensive line. As a defensive lineman he tallied 28 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Madlock was second team all western new york this past season. WGR called him out as the best interior Lineman saw all year. Mike Ferrintino (WGR) counted 5 pancakes every week
