Talking Bull: Beware Fat Little Girlfriends of Ole Miss

Former Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach interested in Ole Miss job " The Commercial Appeal
Former Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach said Tuesday he hasn't had contact with anyone from Ole Miss, but said he's interested in the pending coaching vacancy created by Monday's firing of Houston Nutt effective at the end of this season.

That's right you slightly chunky object of gridiron desire, Mike Leech might be coming for you!

And why might Ole Miss be interested in Leach? Well when your mascot starts weaing a box over his head.... Someone Keep Victor away from the Boxes!

I thought Ole Miss fans were joking about this, but apparently not. This is what happens when you get rocked by La Tech at home, then lose the party to boot.

CWI, Coaching While Intoxicated.

Sort of cool, I suppose, if you can pull it off.

Western Kentucky Coach Picks Up DWI, Coaches Against LSU - From Our Editors - SBNation.com
Western Kentucky defensive coordinator Lance Guidry held the No. 1 LSU Tigers to seven points in the first quarter and 14 total at halftime despite earning his third career DWI earlier in the day. We totally disapprove of all this, of course, but that's still kind of amazing.

Buffalo 'Football'

The one highlight of this season:

Oliver runs past 1,000-yard mark for UB - UB Football - The Buffalo News
Branden Oliver produced his sixth 100-yard rushing game of the season in UB's 30-17 loss to Eastern Michigan on Saturday and became just the fifth back in school history to go over 1,000 yards in a season.

And yes, no Ontario Sandwich for Buffalo:

Gillett Cuts Bulls in Road Finale - Sports - The Spectrum - University at Buffalo
These are just a few of the words that appropriately describe the football team's play on the road this season. The team hasn't shown up to play in a single game away from UB Stadium, going winless on the road.

I'm Amazed that we cant ditch the losing with wisdom like this:

UB can't wipe out losing ways - UB Football - The Buffalo News
Whether Quinn realized exactly what he said only he knows for sure. But he provided the perfect synopsis of the program's current state — and certainly Saturday's 30-17 loss to Eastern Michigan — when he observed in spewing his postgame fury that "You can't start winning until you stop losing".

"You can't start winning until you stop losing".. I am filled with inspiration.

BCS Rankings are out:

BCS Rankings And Bowl Projections, Week 12: Oklahoma's Awful Loss And The Non-AQ Race - SBNation.com
If the Sooners make the national title game, do they have to bring Tommy Tuberville along? Also, envision Southern Miss in a BCS game, just to see how it feels. Here are this week's BCS rankings, and here's the breakdown.

UB Hoops:

Bulls behind the scenes: UB’s 72-65 win over St. Peter’s - Blog - Buffalo.com
No, the Buffalo Bulls were not flawless in their season-opening 72-65 victory over St. Peter’s—and frankly, you couldn’t expect them to be. Still, the atmosphere at Alumni Arena—stimulated by the new theater-style lighting and 1400 boisterous students behind the basket—was electric, and Buffalo withstood a late rally to close out its first win.

Hedderson Emerges, Bulls Ground Purple Eagles - Sports - The Spectrum - University at Buffalo
The women's basketball team left a lot to be desired in its exhibition game last week. If Division-III Buffalo State could give the team a scare, how would the Bulls fare against Division-I opponents?

Really proud of the ladies. After that awful showing against a DIII squad I thought they were going to get plastered by the Purps.
