Kourtney Brown Named MAC East Player Of The Week - Buffalo Athletics
Senior Kourtney Brown was named MAC East Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday afternoon, coming off a career week where she had back-to-back 30-point performances. It was the ninth career Player of the Week honor for Brown.

The 6-foot-6 forward from Newark, N.Y. was averaging 10.4 points and a team-high 7.1 rebounds per game entering the week. He also had 22 steals and a team-best 28 blocked shots while shooting 70 percent from the field to lead the Mid American Conference and rank third in the nation. McCrea also ranked third in the conference in blocked shots and fifth in rebounding.

A divisional favorite? Perhaps Kent State, which visits UB on Wednesday, warrants the slightest edge. The Golden Flashes' lone MAC loss came with guard Carlton Guyton suspended because of a legal matter. Among the significant names still on the board are Canisius quarterback Travis Eman, Fort Hamilton defensive end Kevon Foster, Troy running back Jordan Canzeri and Baker defensive tackle Nick Robinson.

St Marcellinus outstanding dual punter/kicker Daniel Ferraro is looking at a wide variety of schools in Canada including Concordia, Toronto and Queens. Univ. of Buffalo and William and Mary are also taking a hard look at this young man with the booming leg.
