Another week of fun, yet completely nonconstructive set of MAC Blog Picks.
With the out of conference games mostly out of the way MAC Bloggers can no longer count on the give me games where either a MAC team will crush an FCS foe (except BSU and Akron) or get pounded by a AQ Conference Bowl Team (except Temple/UConn).
Now comes the part of the season where the games should be closer, upsets more common, and Blogger Pick'em leads change. If you have never followed MAC Blogger pick'em before the basic rules are that all picks are straight up and can be changed up to kickoff time with either an email to me, or a comment on this post.
Once I get enough of the ballots in I will announce this weeks game notes (Poochie, Road Warriors, Home Boyz) and blogger notes (Kennel Club Member, Dog Hater, Dare Devil)
This week features five conference games, On paper the only 'close' game should be Buffalo at Bowling Green, but anything can happen MAC members start feeding on their own.
Of the three non con games two are at MAC home stadiums this is a far cry from last week when everyone on the MAC took their show on the road. This weeks games are:
|niu||- 12.66||AKRON||Red and Black|
|Temple||- 11.51||ARMY||TFF / TON|
|CMU||- 22.41||Ball State||Over The Pylon|
|BGSU||- 5.34||Buffalo||BRun / F-Blog|
|Ohio||- 14.18||EMU||Eagle Totem|
|Idaho||- 4.96||WMU||Hustle Belt|
|Kent State||- 2.72||MIAMI, O.||VanDelay|
|Wyoming||- 0.16||Toledo||Let's go Rockets|
This weeks ballots are:
|niu @ akron||temple @ amry||cmu @ bsu||buf @ bgsu||emu @ ohio||idaho @ wmu||kent @ miami||wyo @ toledo|
Ballot Notes: Teams:
Poochie (Most commonly picked underdog): With two ballots left Toledo has a safe lead. The Rocket's have the support of 90% of bloggers. Western Michigan is running a close second with seven votes, and Miami is in line for the bronze with five picks
Road Warriors (Most often picked road teams): Temple takes this one via the tiebreaker but there are two road teams favored by unanimous consent. (Temple & NIU).
Home Boyz (Most often picked home team): CMU is leading with a clean sweep but Toledo also seems to be a big favorite at home 9/10. Bowling Green edges out WMU for number two via a tiebreaker.
Kennel Club Member (Most dogs picked): In a tie between, the pick of EMU, a 14 point dog to Ohio propels Carter of Eagle Totem past Over The Pylon.
Dog Hater (Fewest Dogs Picked): So far Fire Up Chips only sees one dag that he likes, Miami.
Dare Devil (Most daring pick of the week): Carter easily walks away with this one. Aside from Eagle Totem nobody want a part of the four biggest dogs (Ball State, EMU, Akron, Army)
