BUFFALO, NY (UB Athletics) – Josh Violanti has been named to the ESPN Academic All-District football team. The junior center on the University at Buffalo football team is a political science major with a 3.88 grade point average. He was named to the All-District First Team and is now eligible for Academic All-America consideration.
Violanti is in his second season as the Bulls’ starting center. He is the anchor of an offensive line that is averaging 320 yards of total offense.
The Lackawanna, NY native was one of nine players from the Mid-American Conference named to the Academic All-District First Team. The Academic All-America team will be announced in early December.
