Opponent Overview Ohio

Buffalo Rumbles into Ohio this week to take on the surging Ohio. The Bobcats have recovered well from an early season slump that included a loss to hapless Marshall, a home loss to Toledo, a drubbing at the hands of OSU (in which the highlight was a rogue mascot) and a pretty underwhelming performance against EMU.

Since the Eagles woke up the Bobcats by going into halftime tied Frank Solich has had his team on a tare. 171 points in the past 18 Quarters of football. Their most recent conference victory over Miami put Ohio on track for another run at the east. If Buffalo does not manage to upend Ohio the have two weeks to prepare for Temple with the winner being almost certain of a trip to the MCC.

The Bulls will need to cobble together some kind of defense against the Blitz. Miami was near the bottom of the conference yet got to Zordich five times, Ohio as a middle of the pack pass rush could do way more damage. If UB can make the running game even approach the level of a threat and keep the Bobcats off of Zordich's back UB might be able to pick on the secondary of Ohio. The Bobcat's secondary ranks in the bottom third of the league in passing efficiency.
