Buffalo Men's Basketball Signs Xavier Ford to National Letter of Intent

BUFFALO, NY (UB Athletics) – University at Buffalo men's basketball head coach Reggie Witherspoon has announced the signing of Xavier Ford to a National Letter of Intent. The 6-8, 200-lb. forward will join the Bulls beginning in the 2011-12 season. Ford hails from Colorado Springs, CO where he played for head coach Jim Masterson at Harrison High School. He averaged 22 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots per game last season as a junior en route to earning honorable mention All-State honors. He is also a two-time All-League selection. Ford also played for the AAU program Colorado Chaos and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Desert Invitational in Phoenix. "Xavier is a talented kid who is very versatile both offensively and defensively," Witherspoon said. "He has proven to be a hard worker and someone we are excited to have join our program."
