In case you are wondering who Tim Dienhart is check here. Lord know Dienhart has been wrong on more than one occasion but he also has a nasty habit of turning up a few nuggets of truth here and there.

Still no white smoke from the BigTen headquarters

Where would this leave the Big East? Probably dead as a FB conference with just UConn, Cincinnati, Louisville, South Florida and West Virginia there is almost no way the conference keeps limping along. Because of the enormous pressure on the conference from its basketball schools and the pressure which would be brought to bear because the SEC, Big12, and ACC would want to 'keep up with the Jonses' there is not a whole lot of candidates who will be easily assimilated into the BE. With just five schools the conference would have to add 'at least' three other but in a 16 member world they may need more.

How funny would it be if JoePa called a press conference to say 'Just Kidding'...
