Future Bulls on parade

Three incoming recruits had their names land on the All-NY team put out by the NYS Sportswriters Association, All three were also part of the The 52nd All-Western New York Football Team was selected by The Buffalo News and Dick Gallagher of Western New York High School Sports in consultation with are coaches and officials.

James Gaines (NYSSA Second Team All State, Class A)
School: Canisius Position: LB
Height: 6-2 Weight: 200 Year: Senior
Verbally committed to the University at Buffalo. Led Crusaders to League AA title, beating rival St. Joe's in final at The Ralph. Had 108 tackles, including 16 against Jamestown. "He does everything at 100 percent. He understands how to get ready to play football," said coach Brandon Harris. Four-year starter. Also excelled at tight end. Plays basketball. -- Buffalo News
Adam Redden (NYSSA Third Team All State, Class AA)
School: St. Francis Position: DB
Height: 6-1 Weight: 190 Year: Senior
Verbally committed to the University at Buffalo. Holds school record for most fumble recoveries in a career with seven. Finished with 100 tackles. At WR against St. Ignatius had 11 catches for 176 yards and 14 tackles. Had 17 tackles in semifinal playoff to loss to St. Joe's. Also punted and kicked. Jasen Carlson (NYSSA Class C Co-Player of the Year)
School: Southwestern Position: OL
Height: 6-3 Weight: 300 Year: Senior
Repeat first teamer. Trench Trophy winner. Trojans were 42-4 in his four years as a starter. "He's the best lineman I've ever coached, just his body of work and what he did in four years is outstanding," said coach Jay Sirianni. Leader by example. Had 51 tackles.
