UB Hockey Wins the Blizzard in Buffalo

Not that it was at all that unexpected given that Ithaca, Scranton, and John Carroll are having pretty down years but two wins is nice and it's a good way to head into the long break before play resumes after the holidays. On Friday UB Shelled Ithica setting up Saturday match against the Blue Streaks of John Carroll who got past Scranton in their quarter finals match.

The Bulls jumped all over the Blue by scoring three goals in just over four minutes early on in the first period. John Carroll would fight back through the remainder of the first, eventually tying the game at the 3:26 mark.

The score would stay 3-3 until Scott Mack would net his first goal of the tournament with 9:20 left in the third. Net Minder Rich Latona who posted a save percentage of .88 on the night would hold of John Carroll for the remainder of the game.

The Bulls go into the December Break with a record of 11-7 and sit at second place in the EHCL. The Bulls won't play again until January 8th when they host Pittsburgh at the Pepsi Center (8pm).
