Rodney McKissic sets the record straight

Straight off the wire err Twitter, Rodney McKissic who is as reliable a source regrading the inner working of UB as anyone else in the media shoots down the rumors that Gill met with the team to say, in effect, that he would take the job if offered.
"The only thing that he has said to us is that he did interview for the position on Sunday and that it would be a great opportunity for him and, more importantly, his family," -- Unnamed UB Player to the Topeka Capital Journal
Today in the Buffalo News Campus Watch McKissic snuffs out the rumor that Gill has been meeting with the team to lay the groundwork for his eventual move to KU. HE spoke to players still on Campus (James Starks and Devonte Shannon are named) and to the Athletics department
UB athletic department spokesman Paul Vecchio told the News the last time team met was Nov. 29, two days after the season finale against Kent State and five days before Kansas coach Mark Mangino was forced to resign -- Rodney McKissic
This bit of news moves outside knowledge of the KU situation right back to where we were Monday. Houston Nutt is out, Harbaugh is still the unattainable dream, Holtz and Gill are both under consideration, and some people have mentioned Butch Jones though he has not interviewed.
